IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Burnside Primary School will remain open for staff and children tomorrow (Wednesday 21st February). The school's Board of Trustees have been informed that a state of emergency has been declared in Christchurch for tomorrow. The City Council expects that low lying areas of our city could be seriously affected by flooding. All areas of our city could also be affected by strong winds that are expected throughout Christchurch tonight.
Burnside Primary School requests that parents and families please consider their own situation and if you have any concerns, please keep children at home tomorrow. Travelling on our city's roads tomorrow could be unsafe, depending on where you live in our city. I, and our great staff will be at school, so if you need to send or bring your children to school tomorrow we will be there.
Thanks.
Matt Bateman
Principal (for Maggie Alley, Board of Trustees Chairperson)

Who are we?

Burnside Primary School is unique in what it offers to children, to their growth and to their learning. Our 280 children (from Years 1 to 6 and who are 5 to 11 years old) individually bring a cultural richness with them, from 40 nations.

Our school values celebrate this diversity. We provide an exciting, safe, and welcoming environment for students, and our values of Excellence, Respect, Tolerance, Integrity and Compassion are always evident in the ways we interact around the school.

We welcome you to come and see for yourself.
