As I reflect on the 2009 year I cannot help but feel proud of our wonderful school. We had a tremendous group of students (friendly, talented and welcoming), we have beautiful, expansive grounds and great facilities, we have a hard-working and skilled staff (Teaching and Support), and we have you, the warm and supportive families. I feel very honoured to be your school's Principal.
There are so many highlights to look back on:Sports successes and events, Chess successes, Academic successes and progress, Cultural and Art events and successes, Community events and activities. All of these facets have combined to provide a number of positives for everyone.
Most recently we have celebrated the Talents of our student "performers", with wonderful singing, dance and instrumental items on display in our Hall last night. This evening (with 25 quality items) really show-cased the talents of so many students.
On Tuesday evening were opportunities (through our Parent-meeting) for you (our community) to be presented with information on our school (e.g. Student Achievement, Camps and Activities, Survey feedback) and also for you to have your questions responded to on Staffing for 2010. My thanks to the many of you that attended this meeting.
The PTA has again provided our school with excellent support. Hours of hard work, fundraising activities, meetings (and lots of fun) has provided your children with many extra options. Sports uniforms, equipment, plantings for our gardens, sand-pit / play area, Hall upgrades, events (sports evenings) support with food / drinks, student-support (Chess and Sports - National Championship attendees / winners!!) and much more. What a great group you have been. My thanks.
Your Board of Trustees has again had a very busy year. The positive growth of our school has been managed with their dedication to hard work. You should know that each member has worked far beyond what is required of them individually (meetings / assisting / supporting). My sincerest thanks to each member personally; Charles Lake, Tracy Williams, Rose Appo, Steve Spencer, Andrew Smyth and Nic Rickard.
I would like to thank all Staff for your work at our school this year.Your efforts to provide the best for students is very much appreciated. My best wishes also to you all (parents / families) for a safe and happy summer-break. I look forward to meeting with many of you personally prior to the end of our school year at the concluding Assemblies and Functions.

2010 Pupil Stationery Lists.
Next year there will be a change to the way parents will be able to purchase their children's exercise books and other stationery requirements. We will no longer be selling 'Stationery Packs' from the school office, in the first week of Term 1, as we have done in previous years.
Next Tuesday 15th December all children will take home a green 2010 stationery list for their next Year Level (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6).It will not matter what actual classroom children are in, as all rooms in each Year Level will have the same list.Spare lists will be available at the office from Monday 25th January - Friday 29th January between 12.00 - 2.00pm.
Parents will then have a choice of 2 different ways to buy their child's stationery, either by ....
-an On-line Internet Order with the pack of books etc being to delivered to their own home by courier. This easy system works by parents connecting to the special website, locating first our school, then their child's year level, and then browsing through the on-line list where they can either delete or add items as they wish and finally place their order.Pencil cases, book covering, lunch boxes and many other items can also be added to the order if required.or
-by going to their own preferred shop and Buying their stationery directly from that shop.OfficeMax shops will be stocking all items on our lists.
These options mean that parents may not need to purchase everything on the list e.g. if your child already has a ruler, they will not need to purchase another one. This will also allow for parents to purchase the stationery well in advance of the first day of school.
This system will not apply to New Entrant children, as we will still be selling Stationery Packs to new 5 year olds when they first start school.
Whole School Assembly.
This final full school assembly will be held on Tuesday 15 December at 9.00am in the school hall.Presentations will be made for Kiwanis Community Awards (teachers select a pupil from their classroom), Gardening Certificates, Road Patrol Certificates, House Cups, Maths Awards.
