Our Values

“Values are deeply held beliefs about what is important or desirable. They are expressed through the ways in which people think and act...Values are part of the everyday curriculum – encouraged, modelled, and explored.”

The New Zealand Curriculum - Ministry of Education (2007), p.9-10.

We live and breathe our school values at Burnside Primary School. They are part of who we are, what we do, and how we interact with others.  We look forward to showing you our values in action.

Our School Values Are:

Act with honesty and be true to ourselves.

Exhibit actions that acknowledge the rights and feelings of others, the environment and ourselves.

Acknowledge and value similarities and differences in our school and community.

Strive to achieve our highest standards by exhibiting effort and determination.

Foster positive relationships where we will actively show outgoing concern for others.
